Abstract

Abstract: Decoherence of quantum systems result due to interaction with their environment For example a spin decoheres by virtue of its interaction with the magnetic field arising from other nearby spins A stochastic equation approach to treating decoherence allows for analytic as well as numerical solutions for the average value of the spin and its variance as a function of time for various kinds of fluctuations Moreover it allows derivation of the master equations for the density matrix of the system The decoherence of r
