Abstract

Disorder and interactions are usually the basic ingredients causing frustration which ultimately lead to a glassy behavior such as slow and non exponential relaxation In this work we present the relaxation of such glassy systems applied on two known minimal models: The electron glass EG and Interacting Two level systems TLS glass Theses effective models depict the low temperature behavior of a variety of disordered and amorphous solids We start with a short review of work done by A Amir Y Oreg and Y Imry where they apply a local mean field approximation to the EG model and obtain the slow dynamics using the Pauli Master equation In our work this method is applied to derive similar dynamics for the TLS glass model and also show how the interactions affect the relaxation process in both models Finally we discuss the similarities and differences between the two models
