This is a student seminar.
Abstract:
This seminar presents work toward loading and trapping nanodiamonds for a future Stern–Gerlach matter-wave interferometer. The project focuses on particle loading into RF Paul traps, particularly under vacuum conditions, and compares several loading methods. Additionally, it introduces numerical tools to model realistic trap fields and particle motion under the effect of those traps.
