Abstract
An optical method for temperature measurement of optical fiber at the range of 1000 2000 C using thermally excited OH fluorescence will be presented The method is based upon compering emission intensities originated form two adjacent spectral lines By calculating the power ratio an on line in situ precise temperature measurement of optical fiber components during fusion processes can be achieved Experimental results will be presented and discussed
