Physics and Mechanical Engineering פיזיקה והנדסת מכונות

Registration and admission must be to both departments from the outset. Studies last four years and lead to two degrees — a B.Sc. in Physics and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. In this combined programme the student is administered jointly by both departments throughout the degree.

A student wishing to add a second department concurrently with regular studies may do so only after successfully completing a third semester with a cumulative GPA of 80 or above. Such studies require approval from both departments. Overlapping courses may not count toward both degrees; the student must complete substitute courses to fulfil the required credits.

To remain in the programme the student must maintain a cumulative GPA above 80.

Barkai Programme

A double degree in Physics and Mechanical Engineering with dedicated programme courses, including 32 credits from Electrical Engineering. Open to outstanding students only.

Admission prerequisites:

• Physics matriculation (5 units) and Mathematics matriculation (5 units) — both with an average of 92 or above
• Psychometric score above 65
• Psychometric quantitative score above 142
• Engineering composite above 565

To remain in the programme students must maintain a cumulative GPA above 80. In the fourth year, students meeting the criteria may continue to a Master's degree in one of the two departments (Mechanical Engineering or Physics), subject to each department's admission requirements.
