Our lab combines a large variety of physical approaches, wet-lab biological based experiments, mathematical modeling, precise and innovative microscopy and three dimensional particle tracking methods. We study intricate collective phenomena in nature. For instance, we study bacterial swarming and ask why do bacteria swarm, what are the mechanisms involved during swarming, and what are the evolutionary advantages of swarming? ​
