Abstract

The holographic correspondence gives a description
of RG flow in terms of a gravitational solution with particular
asymptotic properties. In this seminar, I will consider a gravity model with a dilaton potential
given in terms of exponential functions. The form of the potential allows
to reduce EOM to Toda chains. We constructed exact solutions which can interpolate between an AdS fixed
point in the UV limit and a hyperscaling violating boundary in the IR
region. Analytic black brane solutions at finite temperature are found.
I will discuss the properties of the solutions and the interpretation in terms of RG flow.
Some of the flows describe a theory that is asymptotically free in the UV, with a scale Λ,
determined by the boundary conditions of the fields, that can be thought of as Λ_QCD,
and the coupling grows large in the IR.
