Abstract

Composite pulses and adiabatic passage techniques are very powerful tools for coherent control of quantum systems I will present a variety of classical analogues of these techniques adapted for two and three state quantum systems which have applications in polarization optics waveguide optics sum frequency generation invisible cloaking and wireless energy transfer These analogues originate from the mathematical equivalence between the SchrC6dinger equation and the differential equations that describe classical systems The analogues offer control tools which
