Emergence of space time from quantum information

Abstract

In a concrete model of quantum gravity in asymptotic anti de Sitter space time AdS CFT the space time itself becomes an emergent phenomenon I will describe our current understanding of how space time and quantum fields on it emerge from re organization of quantum information in the CFT In particular I will concentrate on the role of the total modular Hamiltonian of the CFT sub regions in this description and how its properties give rise to the space time phenomena
