The Higgs boson is heavy but not too heavy The same can be said about the top quark These are puzzles posed by the Standard Model Solutions are being sought by making both the Higgs and the top from more fundamental constituents I will describe a particular model that can put their mass scale in the right neighborhood We have begun calculating quantities in this model with lattice simulations
