Abstract:
Photonic quantum computing is an emerging field, showing great promise in terms of scalability and manufacturability compared to competing quantum computing platforms. The challenge lies in realizing effective two-qubit gates, and in generating resource states which are required for error correction. In my talk, I will present the current state-of-the-art schemes for photonic quantum computing, highlighting the key challenges and recent advancements in the field. I will then present ongoing work in Quantum Source labs for utilizing cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) on photonic-integrated circuits as a promising approach to realizing scalable and efficient photonic quantum computation.
