Abstract:
Cloud-based quantum computing platforms allow researchers to access and run quantum simulations remotely and have the potential to revolutionize our understanding of complex physical systems, including materials science, chemistry, and condensed matter physics. In this talk, I will discuss the basics of quantum simulations and how they can be implemented on quantum computers. I will then focus on the advantages and challenges of using cloud-based quantum computing platforms for quantum simulations, including the need for specialized programming languages and the potential for errors in calculations. I will present some case studies of quantum simulations that we have successfully run on cloud-based quantum computing platforms, and discuss the implications of these simulations for the fields of materials science, chemistry, and condensed matter physics. Overall, this talk will provide an introduction to the exciting world of quantum simulations using cloud-based quantum computing platforms, and highlight some of the key challenges and opportunities in this field.
