Abstract

Dear friends,

This week there will not be a proper quantum optics seminar. Instead I will be giving two in-person popular level talks, and all the students are invited.
First, a talk in Shira Chapman's course, will be given Monday 1/1 at 18:15 in the physics department seminar room (207). I will mainly talk about the Atom Chip Group, techniques and goals. https://tzin.bgu.ac.il/atomchip/
Second, a talk in Ely Kovetz's course, will be given Wednesday 3/1 at 15:15 in room 127 building 90. I will talk about the history of QM and its strange features, and how all this led to a disruptive new technology now unfolding.

I wish all of you a successful academic year, and a good 2024.
May we soon see the war end, and all our soldiers and abducted (Hatufim) come safely home.
