Abstract

Aging has nearly universal features in humans and other organisms. Aging causes an exponentially rising risk of death and diseases that slows at very old ages. I’ll describe experiments and a theory of aging that can explain several nearly universal patterns in terms of fundamental principles. I’ll discuss current approaches to slow aging and increase health at old age.
