Abstract: I will first justify a specific method for ascertaining the quantum nature of gravity in the laboratory. Subsequent to that, I will describe a scheme, and highlight some of the major challenges (what needs to be done before an experiment can be realized), with many others probably to arise in the future. Comments will be made to clarify the comparable difficulties of almost any other method. Benefits of developing technology in this direction in general to obtain extreme quantum sensors will also be discussed. As a preamble to these directions, how one may first ascertain the quantum nature of mesoscopic masses, will also be discussed.
