Abstract
In the great majority of the known instances a broken global symmetry is restored at sufficiently high temperature. This is not a law of thermodynamics, however, and exceptions are therefore possible. In my talk I will present recent constructions of UV complete field theory models which break some global symmetry at arbitrary high temperatures. Applications and open questions will be discussed.
