The ever growing field of physical systems out of equilibrium has become a focus of research in all areas of physics. This workshop will center around low dimensional systems, in particular how nonequilibrium studies can provide useful information about the underlying physics. We expect the talks and the ensuing discussions to cover a wide-range of topics in such low-dimensional systems, including nano- and meso-scopic devices, superconductors and topological insulators.

The workshop is organized by Yuval Gefen (the Weizmann Institute) and by Yigal Meir (Ben Gurion University) and is partially supported by the Israel Science Foundation, and by Ben Gurion University and the Weizmann Institute.
