Course Policy

Principles and Policy

  • Lecturer is not always right !
  • Final grade: 50% exam + 50% homeworks
  • Homeworks:
    • each student will be given two problems to solve and submit, all problems will be different
    • solutions should be detailed up to the level to be understood by an undergraduate
    • submission is in pdf format only
    • each student will have to publicly defend his/her solution in the class in the end of the semester
  • Exam:
    • 3 problems
    • 4.5 hours
    • uniform open material
    • no surveillance.
  • Approximate weekly plan (subject to changes according to the proigress)
    • Weeks 1-2: Basics

    • Weeks 5-6: Symmetries
    • Weeks 7-8: Time-dependent problems
