Complex dynamics of transcriptional response: how do cells get on the fast lane ?

Andrei Gruzinov, New-York University
A Lorentz-covariant non-linear extension of the classical Maxwell theory has been developed which apparently solves the long-standing astrophysical problem of pulsar magnetospheres. The new theory allows to calculate  the large-scale electromagnetic field surrounding the pulsar and predicts not only the spin-down rate of the pulsar but alsothe amount of emitted radiation.
