Block on a Slope


A block is held at rest at the top of a slope 16 m long. Suddenly
it is allowed to move. It reaches the bottom 4.2 s later. A second
block is sent up the plane from the bottom at the same moment that
the first block begins to move. The second block returns to the bottom
at the same time as the first block. Both blocks have the same acceleration.

a) Find the acceleration of each block on the slope.

b) What is the initial velocity (v_{0}) of the second block?

c) How far up the slope does the second block move?
